Kaylan grew up in Jacksonville and pursued her education at the University of North Florida (UNF), where she earned both her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After practicing counseling for several years, Kaylan realized she wanted to explore a different path to care for people. With a natural creative side, she decided to enroll at The Aveda Institute, where she was immediately drawn to Aveda’s commitment to natural ingredients and exceptional guest experience.

Kaylan has a true passion for hairstyling, with a love for updos and event hair, as well as vibrant fashion colors, lived-in dimensional color, balayage, and long layered cuts. She enjoys the artistry of helping clients express their individuality through their hair.

When Kaylan isn’t behind the chair, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, or indulging in her love for thrifting. She’s always on the hunt for unique antiques or vintage furniture pieces to refinish and make her own.
