Kenzie was born in Colorado but spent much of her childhood bouncing between the Centennial State and Kansas, which gave her a unique perspective on the world. As the youngest of five children, with a twin sister and several step-siblings, Kenzie learned early on the value of family, connection, and individuality. Her diverse background has shaped her into someone who deeply appreciates both the beauty of uniqueness and the importance of community.

Though Kenzie initially pursued college studies in interior design and criminal justice, her true passion had always been hairstyling. From a young age, she dreamed of making people feel beautiful and special in their own way, and it was this desire that ultimately led her to make a life-changing decision. Recognizing that her heart was set on cosmetology, Kenzie switched paths and enrolled in cosmetology school at the Academy of Arts College in Denver, where she honed her skills and fell in love with the artistry of hair.

Kenzie developed a particular passion for hair extensions and foiling, fascinated by how these techniques could transform a person’s look and boost their confidence. But what truly resonated with her was the way hairstyling allowed her to connect with people and make them feel their very best.

When Kenzie discovered Aveda and learned about the brand’s commitment to sustainability, wellness, and making a positive impact on both people and the planet, she felt an instant connection. The more she read about Aveda’s mission and values, the more she knew that this was a company she wanted to be a part of.
