zinke hair studio power paint with luis gonzalezAfter hosting Lupe Voss and getting a sneak peak on a new class called Power Paint, we decided to get this class on the books asap. With the current trend of balayage and natural looking hair, the technique of painting the hair has been all the rage. A local colorist and Aveda purefessional, Luis Gonzalez, came to teach us this amazing technique. We had a day full of hair painting on mannequins and live models. Although many of us were painting hair prior to this class, it was awesome to learn the Aveda way of creating this look. One of the differences with Aveda was blending with a special paint brush that we were all provided. Using this brush eliminates hard lines and helps to create a beautiful, soft highlight. We are so excited to paint more guests hair this summer and watch the trend continue into fall.
