The hair world is always changing and as a salon that focuses heavily on education, we decided that it was time to get into the textured side of hair. It is said that 65% of the population in the world currently has textured hair. Traditional beauty schools, have not had curriculum around super coily, curly hair. This means that hair dressers are coming out of beauty school with little to no knowledge on how to properly work with heavy amounts of texture. Over the last couple of years, Aveda has been working hard to create new products and educate on old ones for hair that is of this nature. Just this past year, Aveda created a new professional team of stylists called the texture team, and they launched amazing education to bring into the salons. We were so fortunate to have Naomi Dove and Austin Cailles come into our space this summer and teach our entire team all things texture for three solid days. Our team gained an incredible amount of knowledge and absolutely loved learning from these amazing educators. We are proud to announce that Zinke Hair Studio is now considered a texture certified salon through Aveda. We are confident and excited to be able to service anyone with textured hair.
