Oso

Assistant

Oso was born and raised on the enchanted island of Puerto Rico, and after living in several cities, Jacksonville became home.

As an artist, his first love was portrait photography, but then turned to the stage and became a creative director for a performing arts group. Later in his life, his career was in the banking industry but Oso knew he was meant for a creative career path.

Oso’s interest for hair emerged from pursuing his personal hair growth journey. He became more interested in getting to know more about managing his curls and was inspired to help others along the way. His curiosity led him to enrolling at the Aveda Institute in Jacksonville, FL. As he toured the school, he walked into a balayage lesson and became intrigued in learning more than just curls.

As a stylist, Oso is verse in doing all hair types. Although he is passionate about educating others on how to care for their curls and creating beautiful color transformations.

When Oso is not behind the chair, he enjoys spending time with his partner and their two frenchies, trying new curly hair products, being at the beach, visiting new restaurants, going to comic book shops or playing video games.
